Has anyone come across a site that has good steps (preferably with pictures or videos) to replace front brake pads specifically on the 06 Civic LX?

From what I’ve read/seen on Google, it looks like a simple DIY job.

But before I start, I though I’d get some feedback from techs that have already done this.

Any recommendations on a good brand of brake pads?
Any problems I should be prepared for on the 06 Civic?
Assuming the rotors are fine, aside from the pads, tools, and grease, is there anything else needed?

 

i'm assuming you are doing fronts only and not your rear drum setup. drums are a lot trickier. if it is your fronts, it is a very easy job. unlike w/ older model hondas though, there is a ring that you need to hold in place as you take the bolt that holds the caliper together. 19mm crescent wrench i believe is what you need.

 

Use factory pads please. Theyre only around $40-50 and are the best $ can buy.
