dash light dimmer switch?

dash light dimmer switch?
Ok I am putting in the air vent with just the pocket under it. I was wondering if people just left their light dimmer switch connected or connected the wires to keep the gauges at full brightness. I have 3 wires Red/Blk, Red and Black. I know the Red and Black will put lights on at full brightness. What do I do with the RED/Blk? I want to get rid of that switch all together. Any suggestions would be great.
