Default Help with remote range?

me and a friend installed the basic viper alarm on my car. everything was working for a few weeks then all of a sudden it stopped. Well we got everything working again but now it wont work unless the remote is within 2 inches of the antennae, any idea on what to look for?

You have strong RF interference at the same frequency range as your remote, someone at/around your apartment has a defective or illegal RF transmitter. 94

Complain to your FCC, pretty sure they are responsible for compliance... http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm 94
