Default Prelude nine spoke wheel direction

I just bought 4 OEM used wheels for my 96 prelude. They are the 9 spoke type that came stock on the SI. What direction are the spokes supposed to go? does it matter other than preference?

Are you talking about these? I just pulled this pic from google. Looks like a factory photo...

yes the picture is correct. the wheels will also have a marking on the specifying left or right.

i believe these wheels are supposed to increase air flow to the front brakes for cooling purposes

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. I will install like the picture - especially if they are designed to increase air flow to the brakes. Good info.

god forbid there not getting enough air flow to your brakes. you sure you don't want to mount them the other way? you know vtec kicks in twice as hard in reverse and you wouldn't want to stunt air flow to the brakes when that happens.

personally i would put them on the other way, i think it looks backwards in that picture- personal opinion of course, though i'm biased because of the 5th gen blades.

the fact of the matter is, in the picture is the "correct" way and the rims are marked i do believe. If i'm not mistaken, Honda designed the rims to cools the brakes, yes they did. I think it sucks air from outside and draws air thru to underneath the car.

But if u did put em "backwards" it would just draw air from under the car out, and pretty much, just put more brake dust on the rim.

I like mine "backwards" so to say....

i am rubber you are glue, whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you!

i am sorry my words had such an impact on you shutta. but if you could read better, you shutta known i didn't say a dam thing to you, so take a chill pill.

pun totally intended

now i'm wondering, if the wheels flow more air to the brakes, that's obviously causing some drag being it's a little spinning hood scoop like thinger. what says you shoofisludin? do you feel faster with it backwards?
