CRX project?
I am considering selling my 98 Prelude and purchasing a CRX chassis and replacing the motor/trans with a GS-R or Type R motor/trans. My Prelude has a few problems, including a bad synchronizer, radiator, oil leak, brakes, and paint. I don't feel like doing anything to this car as I am tired of driving a tired, heavy, n/a car. I think, logically, I could sell my car, make my project purchases with little out-of-pocket costs.
I figure the CRX with a decent body will cost no more than $900. The Integra GS-R or Type R motor and trans. swap should cost no more than $2k. The turbo setup... $1-2k. Then there's suspension, brakes and tires. Then intake and exhaust and any adjustments... I may have to put in say... $1500-2500?
Just wondering what you guys think about this...
Any criticism or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

you wont be disapointed, my friend did the same thing and loved his crx compared to his prelude....the only thing i would recommened is not buying a shell, buy a crx in pretty good condition as it will save you some headaches, sell high and buy low...save your chips and do everything the right way. and btw a gsr miiiiight cost 2k if you look long and hard but they average 2500-3000 for full swap which is what your gonna need i.e. motor, trans, axles, ecu, etc.
So it might be best to look for a decent CRX and a totalled GS-R huh???
Damn, that sounds like a lot of money and work.
I initially thought you could pretty much just swap in the motor and the trans would obviously take some work but after that, I thought i'd be good besides the susp. brakes, tires, work.
