cutting your springs are a BAD idea... you wouldnt wanna cut your shins a few inches to get your self a bit lower..

a good set up with coil over and sturts will help...
if your on a budget get some lowering springs and call it a day..
but if money isnt an object go with something like

ground controls..
konis..
tokicos....

for looks, cut the coils, if you want suspension travel, don't. that is the simple answer.
the correct answer is to go with ground control coil overs and the travel extenders, along with a damper that will take the punishment

Shortened Koni yellows/revalved + GC's w/custom rates + extended top hats. Hands down the best way to slam an EF. With this setup, the only thing stopping you from putting the frame on the ground would be your front UCA's.

The best way to dump it is to get Eibach springs and do it correctly and NOT dump it.

Why shorten them with extended hats? That does not make sense.

Don't get me wrong, I have a full GC/Koni setup with extended hats, and I'm not one to really dump a car beyond maybe keeping the tires flush with the fenderwells. Op wanted to know what the best way to dump the hell out of a car was. The extended hats + running the GC's on the lowest perch + shortened Koni's would probably already have the car so low that the OP wouldn't be able to drive anywhere anyways. The extended hats alone drop the car by about 3/4-1".

The aforementioned setup would already cost upwards of 1 grand. Hell, I paid almost 1 grand for my setup. Bottom line is most people looking to dump the hell out of their rides are looking for the cheapest option to dump their cars. I was just offering IMO the best.

Back on topic...OP, just do what everyone else does and buy some e-bay springs and cut them. Then run Tokico blues or stock shocks.

The limiting factor in any setup for just dumping would be your UCA's. The way around that would be to cut and box the shock towers. Then you could tuck some rim
