Um SSR's are just as good as Volks, Advans or Weds and are used on many race cars in Japan and everywhere else across the world. I have a set of Type C's and Iv never had a problem with them bending vs other wheels...

I have two sets of 17" Type Cs and I have had no problems with bends with very stiff spring rates (14kg/mm and 24kg/mm) and 40 profile tyres but I have only done a small amount of driving on them so far. The previous owner of my suspension also had Type Cs and his set is still going strong.

Its only on cars that are at the track all the time do they see problems. Its not common but there are reports of it. If you are buying new I wouldnt worry about it.

I personally believe that SSR's are better than volks, just that volks are over rated and over priced. But this is my personal opinion. I drifted almost every second night while I was in Japan on the togues and the wheels are still strait and looking brand new, 19's btw and they dont weight much at all. SSR SP1's 3 piece FTW.

We are talking about the semi solid forged wheels here.

Too bad those aren't SSR's. They're Speedy Star's according to the seller, which are made by a cheaper knock-off company SSH. They sell those wheels on ebay.
