I would try rubbing alcohol, its usually gentle enough to not harm interior but good enough to take a lot out. But nail polish is rough stuff. Take it to a detail shop and they usually have steam extractors that work wonders. Make sure they JUST do the stain, not a full detail which could be expensive...

But for future reference, don't let your friends paint their nails in your car (if that was the case, and I hope this "friend" was a girl)

...and don't have an open container in your car! You are supposed to have your passengers drink BEFORE you drive!!

Kind of off topic but anyone know how to take nail polish scratches from the exterior paint? This one chick doesn't know how to open the damn door and scratches everything around the handle before opening it. Now I have black streaks around my front passenger handle.

lol get some laquer thinner and mis about a cup of it and a 1/2 cup of water and spray it on in and rub it out quickly before the laquer thinner mix dries up. im a profesional detailer and i do it for a living it works great as long as u get it out as soon as u spray. letting it sit will cause more of a stain or even bleach it. make sure to spray it with just water after each time of spraying laquer. works everytime if done right. goodluck

K5UP: yes this is to urs along with overdoesedvtec. and yes overdoesedvtec it should be sprayed out of a bottle for full effect if rubed the stain can go deeper and stay if sprayed and soaked up quickly it wont go any further. should work for alomost any stain. just be carefull not to spray too much. a lil bit is very effective.

As soon as you spray it on, buff out the stain, then spray with water? Do I have that right?

yes kinda, here again, spary lighty mist over it soak it enough to work into than take like a very thick and absorbant towel and push down on it real hard kinda get it all out, do that about 3-5 times sometimes more depending on how much was spilled and where at. it should work. sometime laquer thinner is too strong for certain colors like black it could change the color of it. something about a 1/4 cup of bleach and 1 cup of water in a bottle sprayed works as lil less harmfull. try it and lmk how it works for u. sorry it too so long to get back to u.
