OK well, my car has been having problems starting up these past few months. I would have to turn the key several times and it would start. Now when I turn the key, all I hear is a click and the motor doesnt crank. The car only starts unless it gets jump started. It starts 100% if the time when it gets jumped. It kinda annoying jump starting your car everyday I drive a 98 Gsr btw, motor is stock with about 120k milage. Any ideas?

Your battery must be dying

 

get a new battery, or check to make sure your alternator is going bad and is not draining your battery, by the way you can always push start your car if you ever get stranded and there's no one to jump your car.

i ran into many situations where i would be stranded becuz there wasn't anyone to jump me, but luckily my car is manual.

 

Also, it is either your battery or alternater. Take your battery to an advance auto parts or autozone and c if the batt is good. If the batt is good it is 99.9% chance your alternator is gone. The other thing that could be happening is check when you turn on your key (not cranking the car but just in the on positoin) that your battery light comes on in your cluster. If the light does not come on it is a fuse in your fusebox that is gone.
