Default How high do you guys launch ALL MOTOR?

I went to the track today and made about 5 or 6 passes experimenting with different launch RPM's. I used my 2 step launching between 7400 to 7900 RPM and was not able to cut anything better than a 1.8 60 ft. and the car was bogging off the line everytime. I did not want to try launching any higher because I was worried about breaking an axel and not being able to make the 100+ mile trek home. My fuel cut is at about 9300 or so. Any suggestions on how to cut my 60 fts? I'll try launching higher next time if I have to and bring some spare axels.

Here's some info about my setup:

'01 ITR chassis
B18C w/ JDM 4.78 tranny
221whp/143wtq
23" MH slicks on 13" Lenzos

So does anyone launch any higher than 8000 RPM and how are your axels holding up?

your launch seems about right, but what else do you have. to improve your 60 feet u might consider getting traction bars.... just a suggestion.

Already got traction bars. I want to cut my sixty foots to 1.6's. Could my slicks be too big?

I launched on the rev limiter(9500) with my old b-series setup... stock napa axles FTW!

It's all about the pre-loading of your suspension to relieve the stress on drivetrain parts.

If you don't want to raise the rev limiter any higher and it keeps bogging maybe try raising the tire pressure a little bit more. Every car/setup is different so you can't always go off of what everyone else does, just simply use it as guidelines. Pre-loading the suspension should also help

Yeah I only hit a 13.1 at like 103 mph with 1.8 60ft so I know cutting that down will get me in 12's for sure.
