Default oil pressure sending unit question

So Im doing some work to my accord before I sell it...one of the things I need to replace is the oil pressure sending unit. When I took it off the rubber boot that wraps around the sending unit, the boot pretty much disintegrated when I pulled it off the sending unit. Am I going to have to replace that boot? If I run it the way it is will it just spray oil all over the place?

I gotta say, there is some great advice on this site for doing working on our cars.

Thanks

For the purposes of selling the car, the rubber boot isn't required. No, It will NOT leak.
If you would just put some grease on the contacts before connecting to the switch, that will be sufficient.

Thanks for the quick reply

I figured that was the case as it didn't appear to provide a real tight seal but i just wanted to make sure before i had to explain a huge pool of oil to the person buying it.
