Queston about 94 Integra ls tranny
I was at a dealership today looking at a 1994 Acura Integra. It has an auto transmission. After test driving it there was something I noticed. It only happened twice in a half an hour of driving but when I was going about 20mph and hit the gas it would rev for about half a second and then catch. I thought the tranny might be slipping but when we got back the dealer said that it wasn't. He said it's normal for older Acura and Hondas to do that.
My question is, is he telling the truth or pulling that out of his ***? If it's not true is there any shed of truth to it at all?
Also he's asking $3500 for it. It's got 173xxx miles. Brand new paint job and all season tires. The inside is clean with no damage and the engine looks nice with no leaks. Do you think that is a fair price?

no. a fair price for an integra for that year with that many miles should be at least 1000 less. youre better off looking into a privately owned integra. you should also get a manual trans
