Just bought 92 Civic hatch with engine out of of car. Got the engine"Z6" needed Head gasket, did the gasket put the engine in the car. Question... going down the road hard acceleration car almost feels like it shuts off, engine light flickers, and dash gauges go crazy and car makes a popping sound from exhaust. Is it because of the rpms on the dash gauge are telling computer its on the rev?? I was thinking maybe speed sensor or something, but like I said dash gauges go crazy at all kinds of times. Also looking for carpet and back seat for same vehicle. Pretty good deal on car though, has full exhaust header back, rear a-pillar support and rear strut bar, four wheel koni adjustables, H-bar, skunk clutch, short throw shifter, spoon rims, adj upper a frames, whole bunch of spare **** and the z6 wit blown heady $1300.00. Sorry to carry that on so bad but I thought I done good.........

 

sounds like a good deal.... did you check all the grounds for corrosion or looseness???

 

Could be exactly what it is, got the car Wednesday drove it home Friday. It was a quick turn-around I'll look em all over. Now that I think of it had a problem with the ground bolt on the thermostat housing being stripped so I moved it. Maybe the bolt is not completely tight, thanks for the help...
