Default Need a Mechanic or Shop recommendation, having tranny & clutch problems with my EF

I am having transmission and clutch problems with my d-series EF. I would like to replace the tranny with a fresh one, and put a new clutch in.

Does anyone know of a shop or mechanic that is inexpensive and does good basic work? I live close to SD, OC, LA.

Someone please help me fix this car... I just got laid off and need this car to run so I can look for a new job.

I would like to replace the clutch with a clutch kit and I am pretty sure the clutch pedal assembly needs to be swapped. I would also like to replace the clutch cable if its stretched and axle seals if their leaking. Hopefully this tranny is still in decent working condition.

I loosened the clutch cable a bunch and now the clutch pedal basically rests on the floor but does have a bit of tension when you push on it. It goes all the way down very sideways, you can kinda see what I am talking about in the photos below.

your pedal is probably broken, happens alot to ef's. your going to need another pedal set or to weld it up.
