Default Which Helms Manual?

I have a 98 Civic DX hatch w/a '97 JDM ITR swap, and want to buy ONE Helms manual(because of the cost)-so which manual should I buy? There was no USDM ITR in 97(I assume Helms are available only for USDM cars or their JDM manuals are in Japanese)-should I buy a manual for the 98 USDM ITR?TIA.

"Becuase of cost...", How much did you spend on your swap?

"There was no USDM Type-R..", Really? Well thats interesting. So what does THIS mean?

Helms does have a "1997 INTEGRA TYPE R SERVICE MANUAL SUPPLEMENT"; Item #: 61ST704
are there any differences between the 97 JDM ITR and the 98 USDM ITR other than maybe the compression?

If I was on a deserted island, just me and my hybrid and I could ONLY bring one it would be the Teg because of the engine info but really,... its only $60 and the Civic manual has all the wiring/system diagrams.

In my opinion they are equally important.

Hahahhahahaha! What a scenario. Seriously dude, you can afford a type R swap but not the book?

I just order the book of my GS-R, that is the one thing that has always bothered me about a hybrid ... you have just doubled the literature that you need to own.

Especially if you did something like an SR20DET swap, where the motor was never sold here ... I mean I guess you could use a SR20 book, but I don't know if the ignition system and wiring would all be the same.

Having access to [more] literature is more like an investment to me. Your gaurunteed to never loose anything on it....and you can only come out ahead.

What the hell kind of question is this ? You can afford a 98 civic hatch and a 97 jdm itr engine, but you are contemplating buying damn service manuals ? I bet you didn't pay for or do a damn thing with that car did you ? How is it you don't have a manual already ? Don't you even want to learn how the engine was swapped, or even how it works ? Im sorry guys but after reading that I needed to vent...

Well if you are doing a JDM swap into USDM car then i would be more concerned with the JDM manual, and see if you can borrow a 96-00 civic manual (USDM). That is the way i would go. BTW i have a 96-00 USDM Manual, just in case you have any questions.

ALSO JDM Manuals are harder to come by and harder to decypher (cuz its in japanese and the measurements aren't entirely the same.)
