bad headgasket or????
okay well two days again i suddenly lost power in my d16z6. I go for another .25 mile and the car dies. now the car recently sat for 3 weeks before and was difficult to start a friend of mine said the compression was low in one cylinder. i do see fresh oil on the tranny also when i started the car the day after i it started from sitting 3 weeks i did see little blue smoke any idea whats going on?
if you suspect a blown head gasket then disable the fuel or ignition systems so that the car will crank but not start. remove the radiator cap and crank the car, if the head gasket is blown then you should see the coolant bubbling out of the radiator. That would explain the lost compression in a cylinder.

i did the test to bubbling level was fine.! now could it be a bent valve or bad ring!! cause like i said in the number 1 cylinder compression is low the car before it died sounded like it was puuting along...oil is clean on dipstick!
yea im gonna check spark but car doesnt start like i said i was riding down the road and it just loss power and shut off! so it cranks but doesnt start!
In Over Thirty years of Honda repair experience I have never seen low compression in one cylinder cause a stalling problem,Only a misfire. A blown headgasket can cause stalling only if the engine is overheating.Next time it stalls check your fuel pressure and spark. Check your valve adjustment. To tight can cause low compression. Do the leakdown test as suggested by others. This will determine the problem. Good luck
