I want to *gasp* make my prelude quieter!! :P
I was wondering if anyone here had experimented with adding more insulation or maybe that spray foam stuff that hardens to deaden some of the road noise and overall creaking and rattling experienced as our cars age and as we modify them. I know its not gonna ride like a cadillac especially with modified suspension, but after riding in a few modded rsx's and newer cars mine feels like a rattle box.. any suggestions?? TIA
easiest way to get rid of all the rattles (typically caused by suspension) is to replace every ball joint, the endlinks on your sway bars, the bushings in the control arms, and if you want, throw some dynamat (or other brand) material on the floors and doors.
My friend did this and i did this in my old prelude (minus the dynamat) and it drove and sounded like a new car. Zero squeeks.

+1 to the suspension overhaul. check those things out first.
if you are going to get insulation, check this out: http://www.raamaudio.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?p=pr
I have had Excellent experience with one roll of the matting, and the price is right. Keep in mind the prelude already has matting on most of the floor, so you would want to do the doors primarily, and maybe the roof, and double up in the front floor area.
