Back in July of '08 I sold my MR2 to pay for my Lawyer, and with the money left over I bought an EJ6 that needed work. I traded a my EJ6 for an EG, EG for a GSR, and the GSR for the EK. Unfortunately, the previous owners just didn't give a [freak], so I got stuck picking up the pieces, bit by bit.
Here are some pictures to bring you all up to date to today.
My MR2:

Only pic I have on hand of the EG:

GSR:
(no pics!)
The day I brought the EK home

So it was alright, but... it wasn't.
Check engine light was on, resonator had a chunk missing, missing a motor mount bolt, needed a new IACV, no rear seatbelts, major body damage, steel showing thru the tires, you name it.
Took off the Fat Fives, (ugh.) and put on my DAs wheels for the moment

I ditched the CF fenders, and painted the sideskirts and rear bumper/lip to match the Rustoleum Orange "Primer".

Then I realized I could go a little bit lower with my steelies, and they had better tread.

Threw on a OEM CTR Shift Boot and rocked it like that for a little.

Put my GSRs on one side of the EK and did that for a week

Pulled it out of my garage after it sat for a week or so while I thought, and decided that the whole front end had to go.

SO while I was looking at my Si's front sitting in my room, I decided to switch it up.

As you can see, I put the GSRs back on, then I decided to go back to the Hubbies
Oh, and I was so fly with my 3 tone!

Then I put in a CTR carpet, flat blacked my center console/shifter surround (which looks awesome BTW) and put my JDM ITR rear seats from my GSR.

Got it painted for cheap EBP. Didn't bother to do the jams or bay, because I was planning on changing colors again before mid summer of 09.

I painted my VC a tealish blue, which looks kinda cool with the EBP. Flat blacked my Muffler, and Flat blacked my Heat Shield/Intake.

No pics, but I did an Integra rear disc conversion, and the Calipers match the VC.
I threw on a set of Meshies I picked up for FREEE that just needed MUCH smaller tires. Plan on cleaning them up and refinishing them.
The next day (after putting the rims on) I hit TWO deers! and on the way home from that, a SKUNK!

So anyways, that's where I'm at, and hopefully I'll have it repaired before long. Supposed to be picking up a new hood Friday.

Don't worry. By the time you finish your car, this site will function like it did a few days ago.
Your build can't be any worse than the transition this site is making. The site is sooo slow/shitty now.
BTW nice progress!

But to stay ontopic

I know how youre build is going. I have the same problem with my build.. Bought my ek without an engine. The previous owner said he would take care of the rest...
Yeah right
still searching the internet for parts that am missing..
But good luck to you and youre project! hope you have more luck builiding the car up than I have!
I pass your crib everyday on my way to school/work. I saw the new headlights and hood. And Im still wondering about the new doors. You work fast bro.
I always thought that Midori, Tafetta White, And Desert Silver Metallic(OEM rsx) were best on EK's.
Good Luck and eat more Goodies! Haha.
btw: Is keenan or whoever still sellin that 300zx? if so could you PM me?
