Default 08 Accord Coupe HFP Wheels

When replacing 18 x 8" factory wheels having 235/45/18 tires @ 32 PSI with HFP 18" wheels, Why must I change tire sizes to a 225/45/18 @ 39 PSI? Why can I not use my current tires and TPMS sensors instead of those supplied with the new wheels and maintain my current tires and tire pressure?? According to Michelin , my tires will mount on the HFP 7.5" rim with no problem. Should I just put black tape over the TPMS ight if it comes on?

You can use any tire size that is applicable for your rim diameter and width... those OEMs will work. and as long as you maintain your pressure I doubt TMPS will come on
