Please help: JDM SRS steering wheel wiring install
I'm trying to wire up the JDM SRS bag to my OBD I teg by switching out the JDM SRS connector to the OEM bag connector, so it will be a plug n play. The only problem is there are (2) RED wires from the JDM bag that are EXACTLY the same and can't distinguish which is positive or negative.
Does it first matter which one is which since they are both the same color to put the OEM connector on to???
I just don't want to blow the bag accidently when I hook the battery back up.
Please help me.
Thanks!!!

Does that mean that it doesn't matter which red wire goes where when you put it in the OBD1 OEM connector?
Is that a safe assumption since they are both solid red wires and it doesn't matter which goes where?
So basically here are the steps:
1) Remove the OBD1 connector for my OEM airbag
2) Remove the JDM connector on the JDM SRS airbag
3) Attach the (2) red wires of the JDM airbag IN ANY WHICH WAY YOU WANT because it doesn't matter, to the OEM connector
4) Plug it into the SRS harness of the cable reel
5) Hook up the battery
6) That's it
Sorry for the questions, I just want to be sure so I don't blow a $500 wheel.
Thanks!

After searching this site I had the same problem when I wanted to install my jdm srs wheel. Don't worry, I found the answer. According to this thread:

Those two red wires have no polarity so don't worry. You won't mess up anything. Good luck with the install. Try to post some pictures of your interior in this thread. I always like seeing a clean dc2.
