cricket sound when accelerating?

Default cricket sound when accelerating?

i got a cricket sound when i accelerate its weird i dont have a vacuum leak the idle is fine maybe the air intake???

also theres like a jerk when im shifting out of gears u think its one of the axles???

maybe the pcv valve. Mine did that, it's only like 3.00 bucks. And you can replace your spark plugs at the same time

its a constant chirp when acceralting when i let off it stops

Do you have an aftermarket intake? If you do, that it completely normal. All of my AEM's have whistled

It could also be the bearings in your distributor. That sound is bad news. Let the car idle and put your ear up to the distributor. You will hear chirping, scratching and crackling sounds. You can find a replacement bearing kit but it will cost almost as much as a new distributor.

Replace the distributor and everything will be gravy If you have the cash, do it asap. Once the bearings are bad enough, the thing will either seize or mess up your timing severly.

Also, check the tension on all of your belts.
