Default Caution LI racers ( kinda long)

was on hempstead tpke last night just driving around and got caught up at a red lightr and this kid in a 2002 maxima and puts down his window and asks do you wanna run so I said sure . so while the light was still red I was looking around to see if there was any cops around and so I thought it was clear until i looked in my rear view miror and saw a black or gray lincon continental with two guys in it with florida plates so i was a little suspicious so I hesitated b/c I hear there are alot of cops mostly marked but some are sleepers. So anyway when the light turned green the kid in the max took off spining his tires and me got on it a little. next thing i know i see the continental behind me take off into the other lane and what do you know he puts on his lights and pulls the kid over . so basically the point of this story is to let you know to watch out for this sleeper all you h-t LI members that cruise hemp tpke... Also has anyone ever heard of cops mailing tickets to your hose for racing or attempting to race???

i've heard about it but don't know anyone how has got one yet. rumor has it that in hunts point they take pics of the streets and any plates they can make out , they send tickets...racing or not...for taking part/spectating in a illegal speed contest....i guess it carries the same weight...racing or watching

unmarked are scary, but if you dont break the law then nothing to worry about, they aint always gonna pull you over for speeding, they they sure *** hell will bust you for racing

Are you sure that car have a "Florida plate" ??
If so, I believe they have no right to pull someone over in NY state.

But anyway......street racing

I'm in Queens and there are unmarkeds allllllllllllll over the place. It used to be you could just watch out for Malibus and Luminas (the usual NYPD unmarkeds), now they're being sneaky and the other day I saw a guy being pulled over by an Accord by my house. You never know anymore. I dont street race....anymore but I do tend to drive fast, so basically I'm gonna get screwed eventually

In my area the cops have been using Grandcherokees, 6clymustang, ford van, new civic with lighted sqirters and the best was A new Monte SS on the hywy wich I had no choice but to out run in 4 seconds...

Why do cops use such slow cars for hywy patrol?

b/c what fast cars are you going to get that are quick, can transport prisoners, and are cheap enough that the city/state will buy in quantity? not much of a choice out there

We've had a fleet of v8 manual trannied mustangs here.. and now new camaro z28s.. florida highway patrol = evil

Plus, you shouldn't need a super fast cop car, an intelligent person will pull over if a cop is on their *** with the lights on.

That's a myth! If you're a half-way decent driver with a capable vehicle. Ditching Johny Law is lots easier than it sounds...

My friend saw WRX with tint, rims, exhaust at a gas station near Chicago.
The guy opens the door and its a undercover cop car.
I would love to see some stunnas get pulled over by that guy.

One of MI finest was ditched on the way to the expo.
