Safe to use Type S cams and pistons in USDM H22???
Hi, i was just wondering if it is safe to use the Prelude Type S cams and piston in a USDM H22? I've heard some people say u can't and some people say u can. Im just a little confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Yes, you can. Direct plug and play. Just swap them in, adjust your valve lash, and go. They're less aggressive than even Crower Stage 1 cams, which can also use the stock valvetrain

Type-S cams with stock USDM valvetrain is questionable. The topic has been debated before, and Honda does use different valvesprings in the Type-S.
The pistons and cams will work mechanically, but the engine won't run properly with a USDM ecu. You'll either need to find a Type-S ecu, or get it tuned.

Lol does that mean its not do-able? Or does it mean i need certain things to make it work in an automatic?
it will still work (after tuning). its just that automatics suck. your best upgrade would be to throw a 5 speed in it.
