Default Checking Motor Mounts

What is the procedure to check these ? What are you looking for ? I remember seeing people torque the motor to check these, not sure exactly though.

Of course excessive movement, but you can often get an eyeball on them as well. Look for indications of the rubber insulators separating from their fixture plate. In some extreme cases, the engine actually looked tilted in one direction.

Enlist a friend, agree on a "Beverage of Choice" and make a morning of it.

I would suggest waiting until AFTER you finish with the inspection before downing a cold one. You don't need things looking more tilted than they actually are.
