Default Harsh Shifts

Well my 95 LX had about 70k on it when i did a trans flush. Prior to the trans flush it did shift hard and the fluid was burnt. I flushed it and it def helped with the shifting. Usually it feels fine on upshifts, if i sit at a slow speed or coast alittle and then hit the gas to accelerate it will downshift and it bangs pretty damm hard. It will also bang sometime when i put it in reverse. It did this before the flush also. When it was flushed, honda atf was not used. Im not sure what they put in there exactly. I believe it was a dexron III fluid i forget the brand. However is it worth the extra money putting honda atf in there ? Also what could be causing my harsh shifts ?
