Ok, just curious.. I am helping my friend build his Ls Vtec Turbo over the next few months and am wanting to know a few ?'s..

I'm able to do the LS Vtec, but i'm not familiar with turbo setups too much.

Just wanting to know what spark plugs to run in it, as in Hotter or what with it..

ANY help on the turbo setups will be greatly appreciated on this.. As I stated already, I can do the Ls Vtec swap, and I tried to talk him into stopping there lol but he doesn't want to. So please any help i'll take in ...

 

well i know you do not want a hotter spark for boost.. people say not to run irridium plugs when boosting

what a n00b...you should have posted this in the forced induction forum. haha j/k...the people i know use ngk plugs on their turbo setups.

lol I will, I done told him I was going to do a build thread on it. I'll help you with the b20/vtec build.. I get my license back next week so i'll be riding around then lol.. i'm almost done with my ride to

 

damn...im no where near done. still waiting on a stupid tranny. maybe it will be done by next summer...lol if not i will be pissed.

lol i hope so...hopefully it will be done by new years but i HIGHLY doubt it. i at least wanna get the b20 in...if i could just get a tranny i could get it done by then. the rest of the stuff is small ****. lol

 

true man.. do you have an intake mani. on the b20 or is it just the block and the head??? all i have left on mine is the wiring, my hoses, starter, and tune up.

 

yeah im pretty sure i do...but i havent even looked at that damn motor in like a month...so i cant remember for sure. lol and come do the same to mine. have you updated your thread anymore?

 

no not yet, but some guy told me I needed more decent pics.. I was like what does that mean lol.. I am hoping to get the hoses and such from my friend that is doing this build so if i do i'll put them on and i'll see if he'll let me borrow his starter till i get one.. cause he's wanting racing hoses for his and he won't need his starter for awhile so ya know lol.. then i'll just have to get some spark plugs, plug wires, dizzy cap, oil change I can't wait lol..

 

i got 2 words for you....YOU SUCK!!!! my poor b20 is sitting in the back of the truck attracting dust...while your pretty little b16 is polished up and ready to go. damnit...

 

ah, you really think my b16 is pretty lol...

 

lol hell yeah...look at it. it looks brand new. my b20 doesnt.

 

lol, that took me about 3 months to get it looking like that lol.. i wish I would've done my tranny too .. . kinda got excited and bolted it up to the motor as soon as I got it.. oh well i'll do it on my next build.. Gsr block, b16 head, with ITB's.. nippon pistons and port and polish head mmmm, i can't wait on that one lol..

 

you gonna do that one in the same hatch or you gonna buy a new shell?

 

i'll do it in the same hatch.. i'm gonna find a Del Sol shell and put an H23a Vtec in it .. i'll build it in about 1yr and a half.. the B series build should be after income taxes or so.. if i get what i did this year on them next year..

true, i'll see if i can find you a tranny for around $250.. i'll see what i can do.. if i do though it'll probably be an LS but it's better than nothing.. we'll see what I can find though.. If you don't sale that z6 swap then next time I go to Gwinette.. probably next weekend.. i'll see if someone will trade a tranny to you for your swap.. i know someone down there has one... But i'm gonna go to bed... gonna mess with my car tomorrow and take some better pics of it.. ..

 

lol ok man...yeah at this point i dont care if it is an ls tranny or not as long as the car moves...besides if i go b20-t then it might be good.

and im gonna try to see if that guy wants to trade that dc teg for my hatch before we go makin deals...lol

 

you have to use cold spark plugs, I use NGK's in my LS-Vtac Turbo...
