Drive it like any other motor. Mine drives just fine and it is completely stock all around. Ive never revved it past 6500 rpm though. Dont believe the hype that its not reliable it is a good motor! Just dont try and rev it up like a B16 because it will break eventually. Stick under 6500 and you will be ok.

what about cams?
what ECU?
i wouldnt go above 7,000 on a regular basis
but you should be ok to go to 8000 for a race/track.

I'm gonna run stock cams, with a 94-95 GSR ecu. I've got a b16 head and one of my friends suggested i run a OBD-1 Del Sol ecu since the ECU is for the b16 head motor, do you guys think that is right? or would i be o.k with the GSR ecu?

i've got a COMPLETELY STOCK B20b with a COMPLETELY STOCK B16a head just slapped together, ya know, how they say you shouldn't do it. right.
and whenever i'm at WOT in first, second, and sometimes third, the wheels break loose and peg the tach at 8000. happens alot but never seems to harm the motor.
my Zdyne cuts out at 8500, so who knows how high it revs to while they're spinning.
oh and while racing, i try to shift at 7000 to keep it safe, unless i'm really trying, like against those pesky NSXs ( ), then i'll ride the shift light past 8000.
it's been running this way close to a year now. **** these reliability issues you HEAR about, because i'm sure as hell aren't expeirencing them.

well i think the reliability issues stem form people who think once the CRvtec motor is built, it's like a super motor that can rev to 100000000 rpm without harming the motor, but for alot of people they say keeping the rpm under 8000 should keep the motor in good running condition, so I guess I'm over my fear of this reliabiltiy issue as soon as my motor is in a car a ready to run I'll post my personal opinion about the motor and how it runs

Why won't you go get it dinoed first and see where your HP cuts off. Don't rev high if it's getting you nowhere.

with that set-up you could red-line that car whole day. I finished my build only about 4 months ago but i know guys who have that engine for over a year and drive like maniacs, drag race evry weekend and every traffice light for that matter and no problems. 9000 rpm shift change if u want however after about 8400 rpm power drops off.
As for that guy telling u 6500 rpm...... what is the point may as well take the bloody engine out.
