so who do you thrust with your Volk and Mugen wheels?
do you prefer performance shops?
maybe places where they sell 22"s, since i guess they have the experience and machines to mount tires without messing up wheels?
local tire shop?

i don't have Uber JDM wheels, but i gotta get tires, and i dont thust anybody with my ITR's

I found a local autocrosser who has his own performance shop....mostly Hondas. He does a great job and gives discounts for fellow cone-killers. I just bring the wheels in off the car and he does them right there while we shoot the ****.

Just call some places and ask them if they have the machine to mount high end wheels. Tell them you can't have them scratched. They will either tell you its not a problem and bring them on over or they wont do it at all.

I got mine done at Tire Kingdom and they had trained workers for high end wheels and were one of the few places that even knew what Volk Racing wheels were

I only get tires mounted on my JDM wheels in JDM tire shops

Just talk to the people until you find a place that you feel comfortable that they'll take care.

This is true. A shop with plenty of experience with low profile tires (stiff sidewalls) helps, too.

discount tire/ america's tire has plastic covers to go over the parts of the machine that will contact the wheel - you just have to make sure you ask that they use them, as most people don't give a **** about their crappy oem wheels and don't care to ask.

I simply fly my wheels to japan and have the guys at spoon delicately massage the tires onto the rims, while I visit a 5star bath house.
