Default 4th gen speaker problem. 5th gen radio.

ok so i put my old 5th gen radio into my 92 prelude si. all i can hear is the dash speakers playing. i messed with all the settings on the cd player and still nothing. anyone have an idea? maybe its weird because of the acoustic feedback thing?

thank!

alright well i might of figured it out..... so i took it back out and looked at the plugs and i noticed there is a circle plugin place, on the back of the radio, could that be why its not working? i looked everywhere inside to find the plug and there isnt one.

1. it's not wired properly
2. wires or harness are damaged
3. stereo is malfunctioning

That round connector is for the tapedeck or trunk cd changer option which is not related to your issue. I believe your rear speakers arent working because of the AFBS (Acoustic Feedback System). On the 5th gen with AFBS the rear speakers are 2ohm, they are bridged MONO, and there also is an amplifier in the trunk mounted near the pass side speaker. I have seen posts from users that have installed an aftermarket stereo in their 5th gen, and they had no rear speakers either because of the AFBS wiring and amp to the rear speakers.

I installed my stock 5th gen stereo into an old teg with no issues, if that tells you anything.
