I want to replace my carpet, any help? **PICS**
I have an 2006 Accord Coupe LX and the carpet looks like it's a 1996 accord while everything else in the car is in mint condition. I've already taken the car to a detailer and it's no help. It got a couple of permanent stains & there's a 2" rip/hole by the gas pedal. I've checked out the OEM floor mat for the car and they're $185. That's not bad considering that it'll make the car look a lot nicer & match the rest of the car.
Does anyone have any advice or guide on replacing the carpet? I know I have to take the 2 seats out & center console..what else need to go in order to replace the carpet?

You can pick up a FSM (Helms) and it will explain in detail how to remove the carpet. I highly recommend going this route as it will show you where all the clips are and what not. Basically you have to remove a good amount of the interior.
center console
front and rear lower seats
kick panels
lower door sills
There are usually clips or plastic screws holding it to the firewall as well. In many cars, you have to cut a small section in the front center section around the heater and such to fully remove the carpet. There is surly some stuff I'm missing as I am not too familiar with this model accord. I am going to move your thread to the accord forum to see if you can get some more insight there.

I would also suggest a repair manual for this job. You will probably have to remove the seat-belts too. You are going to have to remove a lot of moldings and panels. The little panel around the hood latch can be a job by itself.
I definitely agree with the first two replys. I have completely removed carped from a few vehicles, and boy is it easier said than done. (if you want it done right of course)
Gorgeous car by the way. I wouldn't want holes in my carpet of that thing either!
