What iv found with new clutchs is take it easy on them for the first few drives so the can bed in, If it was sitting around with out a cover over it the outside will be dirty And make it slippry till it wears through that bit.

Also make sure you have adjusted it correctly.

There should be part of the clutch cable that you can twist to relieve some of the tension. The piece usually sits on top of the tranny right before the cable goes into the tranny.

The old wore out clutch probably caused it to be adjusted how it is now. Its an easy adjustment, just twist, then go in and have a feel for it.

any reason you put a stage 3 clutch in a pretty much stock car? was the flywheel resurfaced, because that will increase the distance the clutch has to travel. if everything is installed and adjusted correctly then it has to be the clutch.

id imagin that you got grease or dirt on the clutch plate, if its an ebay clutch its proly the pressure plate, or you did something wrong while installing it. Either way you mite as well throw it away and get a nice stage one.

-I DONT CARE HOW ANYONE DRIVES A STAGE 2, 3, OR 4 CLUTCH IS NOT NEEDED ON A STOCK OR ALMOST STOCK OR LIGHTLY MODIFIED CAR

heres my .02. if youve ever driven a new car off the lot with a brand new clutch. you can push the clutch put it in gear and start to release the clutch slowly and before the clutch is even disengaged and with out giving it any throttle the automobile will begin to go forward at a rate of about 3 mph without any throttle. id say that your just paranoid because you may or may not have ever done a clutch before. give it 200 miles and see if you still think its bad. if you still think its bad go to honda and test drive a brand new one to see how it feels. also have you checked your clutch fluid.

Cable clutch doesnt have fluid.
Yeah give it a week to bed in.

Also when adjusting the clutch cable the leaver on the gearbox should be straight when the clutch pedal isnt pushed. There should be some slack in the cable.(flywheel, clutch, pressure plate against each other)
Then with the clutch pedal pushed it should move up to 9-10 oclock. (throw out bearing pushing against the pressure plate to lose contact with clutch)

Can you take a picture of your cable adjuster? It shouldn't be "all" the way in one direction or the other...

Nothing is wrong with the clutch its just how cable tranny is...just remove the tranny and put it back keep doing that if you want it to feel like it use to. When i first change my clutch in my DA thats exactly what happened to me drove like that for 3 month finally i just detached my tranny and reattached it went back to normal now everytime i change a cable tranny or change the clutch from a cable tranny its takes a while to get it to feel the same.

DO YOU GET WHAT IM SAYING ITS NOT UR CLUTCH SLIPPING

Lol, I bought a F-1 racing flywheel w/ Exedy stage 1 clutch and pressure plate from Gripforce...good guys and great product....nothing wrong so far...

I'd say wait some time for it to break in, and if still no dice then replace with stage 1 or 2 for stock.

I think flywheels come with the same coating as new rotors, so they don't rust in the box, did you clean the flywheel surface with brake cleaner before u installed the clutch? also average break in peeriod is usually like 500 miles for a clutch, just shift easy during the 500 miles

x2. driving habits have nothing to do with what clutch you need. for some reason a lot of people seem to think that having a higher stage of whatever clutch will somehow make their car faster and/or clutch last longer. it does neither.
