tips on upgrades
i am looking to upgrade my 04 si (us addition). i have greddy tic exhaust, aem v2 intake, and megan racing headers. the guys at the shop that helps me with my car is say the next thing is should do is swap my head that i have now with a RSX type R head. will that work with my car with no problems? or i have thought that i should get KPRO for my ecu. What should i do? and if i put the head on will it make mine a si type-r or do i need to do something else?
Thanks

Head swap is a PITA and probably not worth your time and money.
I would go with KPRO. That is going to be the next big performance thing I do for my car as well. Not HUGE gains but overall ability of it is amazing and it provides a base for future boost or N/A tuning, etc.
OR... Depending on what kind of driving/racing you do with your car I would largely recommend upgrading to a higher performance brake pad and/or upgrading your suspension with some nice struts and spring (or coilovers depending on what best fits your needs).
On my personal car I upgraded pad, rotors, and SS brake lines and have noticed a HUGE difference in stopping performance. And suspension is just awesome.
TODD posted a thread about this. I think it is in the FAQ section where he lists good mods to do.

On a side note, I personally gained 13+whp when we installed k-pro and tuned my car on the dyno.
If you were to change the head on your car, you would NEED k-pro to run it and tune it. I would get k-pro first then go from there. You always want to re-tune your car after any mods really, small or big, like intake, exhaust, and especially the race header because they change the cars performance and throw off fuel curves. Tuning will make sure your not knocking, your not leaning out, and gain you the most power from your mods.
