For fun, testing out the two-step...

In car...

Still zero oil consumption. The engine rebuild's finally breaking in.

185whp... I don't think the new intake did anything what-so-ever. The only advantageous difference would be reduction of heat soak on track, other than that, I can't think of anything.

You are getting closer and closer to the 200 mark. Not bad Jordan. Quality parts = quality results everytime.

TODA header, Omnipower test pipe, DC Sports 2.3/8" exhaust, Samco intake arm/BPi velocity stack/K&N RF1048 filter, Supertech 'all motor' valvesprings, ARP head studs, AEM EMS.

Otherwise stock engine wise. Stock CR, nothing done internally. Nice reliable/fun setup.

That's the theory, it seems to work.

Looking good . Maybe add a set of cam gears and see if you could realize another few ponies.. I fell short on my goal of 200whp with a stock motor by 4whp.

I'm converting to T1 Trigger assembly with Golden Eagle cam gears, so that'll be next step.

Might get the itch for some ITB growl here soon again.

Very respectable numbers for almost stock. You must have it tuned to the gnats ****.

The air/fuel ratio's still a bit bumpy, but the timing's pretty well on. It's good for 20 minutes worth of adjustments, when he has some more time, he's going to flatten it all out.

Good to hear. AEM EMS is an amazing tuning tool. Skip the ITB's; the Mugen intake, bored TB and a PnP IM would net about the same gains with a little less throttle response.

What were the details on your rebuild?

^ No, I'm all for a nice intake/throttle body/plenum combination for the pure function. Anyone that wants the best bang-for-the-buck intake setup, I recommend said combination... I simply want ITBs because I'm a ricer, and I miss how fun they are.

(At least I'm honest )

AEM EMS is great. However, MoTeC M4 is in my near future.

I'm the same way. ITB's are pretty crazy and if it didn't rain so much here I would've went that route.

OEM rebuild, all OEM parts and specs. All aside from Supertech 'all motor' valvesprings, and ARP head studs.

When I do it, I'm building a surge tank that runs to stock throttle body location so I can still get some cooler air in. I'm not too concerned about driveability with it.

It was only a matter of time I suppose, haha.

Our drag car: MoTeC M800
Our cheif tuner's S2000s (Yes, plural): MoTeC M800s
Our silver 350Z: MoTeC M800
Our in-house tuner's drag Integra: MoTeC M400

So yeah... Only a matter of time before I started day dreaming about it.

Thanks Joe.

She's got a long way to go in my eyes. It'll be many years before I can stand back, look at her, and say 'That'll do pig... That'll do.'

God I'd love to... *big sigh*... But I need to live in my means right now, keep saving to pay the cars off, and keep saving to buy a house.

Small steps.
