Hey everyone.. I just put an 01 tranny in my 98 gsr. My speedometer was not workin. Checked and noticed the VSS was not plugged in. Tried to plug it in, and couldnt seem to get it to fit. Looked at the VSS plug, and the harness plug and thought i saw a difference. I have seen a few VSS's for sell on ebay but they just say 94-01 VSS. Is there a difference in plug/VSS from 98 to 01? If not can anybody come up with an idea as to what is happening??

would it be different if the tranny was jdm? i did not think it was, thought it was a usdm.. how could i tell if its jdm or usdm?

 

VSS are the same between 94-01 and JDM/USDM

 

thnks i figured out the problem... there was some kind of plastic insert that had to be removed from the vss i had installed in the tranny.. all good now, thanks 4 the help..
