driver's tire rubbing
I searched everywhere , but haven't find the solution. My sidewall on my tire is rubbing really bad, i asked couple ppl they say the bushings are bad, another say wheel bearing and lower ball joint is bad, and every time i hit a bump it squeak, can this be the problem? btw, all the suspension is stock. any inputs would be appreciate, thanks
Well, there are lots of different possibilities.
The most common reason for rubbing is that the tire is too big for the car. What size tire is it? And what kind of car (model, year, version, etc)?
Another common reason is that the car has been lowered too much. Has your car been lowered, and if so, how much?
Also, can you tell where it is rubbing? You mention the sidewall - do you mean the inner or outer sidewall, and can you see where it's rubbing? Look at the tire itself as well as all around the wheel well. Wherever it is rubbing should be obvious - scrape marks on the tire, clean/shiny marks on the wheel well liner or fender liner, etc.
Answer those questions, since those are probably easy to answer without doing anything to the car.
Beyond that, there are all kinds of possibilities, including the ones you mentioned, as well as a bad alignment, wheels with the wrong offset (are they stock wheels or aftermarket or from another Honda/Acura car?), other suspension problems (for example, a bent control arm or tie rod), etc. Those will require putting the car on a lift and/or alignment rack to check.

everything is stock, not lowered or anything, tires are dunlop, 205/50/15. the rubbing is on outside of the the tire. right now i only see half of the dunlop "logo" on the side wall, due the the rub.

These are the stock wheels for your car?
And where is the tire rubbing - on the outer edge of the fender around the wheel well?
Are both sides rubbing - IOW, the tire on the driver side of the car and the tire on the passenger side of the car?
I would not drive on the car until you get this figured out and fixed. If the sidewall wears through, you could have a blow-out.
It's 1996 integra 4dr gsr, stock wheels. Only the front driver's side is rubbing on the outside edge, just wondering if the squeaking noise cause this. I'll get new bushing and take it to the shop see what's wrong with it this week.
That tire size should not rub on an Integra.
Sounds like something's wrong with your suspension (or possibly alignment). Definitely take it to the shop and get it checked out.
