I want to make my doors open upward like a ferrari or something. I've seen this for a crx, anybody know of it done to an eg, anybody know any links? thanks

My friend actually did this on an EK. He worked at a custom autobody place, but not anymore. He made it so that you don't have to cut the top right above the door. He made it so you open the door straight out like stock for an inch, and then up.

 

I'm guessing you want to do this so you can cram your morbidly obese girlfriend in the car more efficiently? Who knows...

 

spend the money somewhere else dude, like getting your hatch faster.

damn you guys are harsh, anyways, the mod is gonna run you roughly 10 gs. There are a few shops here in houston that will do it and have done it a few times but 10gs????? WHY????? You could have a REALLY fast car or buy another one for that kind of money.

Once i saw a mustang cobra that was supposed to be bad-***, and he had these doors. We're talking like a high 12. low 13 second car(correct me if i'm wrong) and it was running mid 14's do to all the extra weight. It's dumb.

nah man don't do that to the hatch....it's fruitless unless you're building a show only car....

 

undo the hindges on your door, then put the on the top of the door and use some drywall screws to screw them in and then use some jb weld to make it more stable then, the door should close easier and then stick your head in the door jam and shut the door on your head until you realise your STUPID for wanting to do this.....

this is true.

however, this is for specs/mods, etc for civic/del sol's of years of 92+, and not a forum for putting ferrar doors. Appearance/cosmetic would definately help you out a lil more.
