help on 92 f22a6 i think its in safe mode
my friend bought a 92 accord for 200 dollars.....brand new white paint, awesome interior, its throwin a code for an injector......it wont let us rev it past around 3300 rpm, its like hitting rev limiter, i think its in safe mode but dont really know what to do next......i have a spare injector resistor box should i see what happens if i replace it, its not missing, i dont really know why its throwin an injector code...any ideas anyone?
Yes, Failsafe or Limp-Home mode.
Before you throw any money at this.
Reset the ECM and see if the same DTC appears again.
Are ther other codes as well, or just this one?

If you have some time to do a little additional wiring, you can rig up a few wires to bypass your wires going to one injector at a time if you do not know exactly which injector is effected, what code is it exactly, by the way. Ecu to resistor, resistor to injector. Have seen the need to repair wire harness for this problem too.
I have also seen a few bad ECUs do this also, rev limit and injector code simultaneously. If you have a friend with exactly the same ride to borrow the ECU, that would save a lot of work. Yes, try your other resistor if it is the same resistance, and test the resistance of each injector also, directly at the injectors.
