endlink bolt broke into LCA, what to do?
Changing my suspension and the endlink bolt head broke off, leaving the bolt stuck inside the LCA. Suggestions besides getting a new LCA? drill it out? LMK
the endlink? Can you break the endlink off then get something on the stud to get it out. Like an extractor. Endlinks are cheap to replace, control arms not as cheap.
yeah, nothing is attatched to the LCA anymore. I tried calling a shop and they said they don't want to get involved in something like that. What's an extractor?
OP, just go to sears or autozone or something to that effect and explain your situation and they will point you toward an extractor.
it is basically a reverse drill bit. you use a normal drill bit and punch a hole through the bolt. the extractor is reverse threaded and will grab the inside walls of the hole you just made and will pull the bolt out with your drill going in reverse.

someone has picture of this?
i never knew that an endlink.... is stuck in the lca...
i thought you put it threw and bolt it on.
so in that case you can just slice the bolt holding your endlink away from the lca and it should be lose..... atleast thats what i think

How did the bolt break?
If it broke because the threads are seized or rusted, just drill it. Do not use an extractor, because it will just break off in the stud and cause major headaches when you have to end up drilling it anyway. Bolt/stud extractors are made from extremely hard, brittle metal and are a real PITA to drill through.
If it broke because you overtightened it, then it should still spin freely. In that case, use an extractor. Or, if there is a length of stud still sticking out, either grab it with some vise-grips and spin it out or Dremel a slot into it and use a flat screwdriver.
