I recently bought a very nice 2001 Accord, fully loaded (leather, V6, the works). The car runs like a champ with 99K miles. The automatic transmission seems to work fine, with no hesitation or slipping like the descriptions I have found for this kind of model in these kinds of forums.

Anyways, the car does shift a bit more suddenly from 1st to 2nd gear than the more silky shifts in other gears. I have driven many other cars (some with "shift kits") where this kind of behavior was very noticeable, and actually much more like a jerk. In this car, if just feels like a slight forward tug, as if the car is eager to get into 2nd gear and continue its (rather quick) acceleration down the road. I don't know Honda cars very well, and so I'm not aware of what the baseline behavior is for the 1st-to-2nd shift in the automatic transmission.

Should I be concerned at all about this? I'm going to change the fluid often, and baby this car, but is there any reason to believe that I might see major problems developing in the future? Is there a particular maintenance program or regimen I could use to avoid anything major from developing? I have read that this kind of thing might be caused by a gummed up "accumulator" that might be user-serviceable? Anyways, just looking for some feedback.

Am I just worrying overly much about this? I probably am, but it would be good to hear from somebody else who knows these cars better than I.
