PROBLEMS STARTING ON JDM ECU
i recently bought a theft recoved s2000... since it didnt have an ecu i decided to go with a jdm ecu... yesterday i attempted to start the car for the first time. i would turn on the switch and the fuel pump wouldnt go on. so i went through the routine of how to check the fuel pump... everything works. except it still does not turn on. when i open the ignition switch.
i started the fuel pump manually... then i tried starting the car... still nothing...what i think is happening is the ecu is not working...
has anybody done a jdm ecu swap into their cars? my car is an ap1. is it a direct drop in?

I would say the immobilizer, but i don't think there is one on the JDM ECU's. Is this an AP2? Sure it's a JDM ECU? Any CEL? Green Key lit on cluster? Hardwiring the fuel pump was not the best idea IMO. Put it back the way it should be and find the actual problem.
jdm ecu's don't really have an effect on USDM S2000's. The only way you will achieve power is run higher octane gas which would be over 100 octane. These are what Japanese drivers run with aftermarket ecu's.
thanks for all the input...apparently jdm ecu has a diffrent pin configuration and since i cant get my hands on the pinouts ... I decided to order an ecu with the transponder key... i will be having it re flashed and configured at honda...
