AHH HELP ...Cant pass JERSEy inspectionn!! got ls swap in ek hatch help??

okay i jus bought an ek with a ls swap iin it
Im not sure but I THINK it has the stock harness fo the original dx ek hatch.
da ECU is p07 and idk if the guy chipped it it looks lik its been opened.

okay i live in nj and i cant pass emsiions NOT EVEN in a gas station cause check engine light is on!!! i diagnosed it in my school it reads error for my luck...is it b/c of the ecu...shud i get a p75 obd2????need help asap

why is your car running on a single cam ecu? your scanner will read error due to the jumper harness you got going there. you will need to see if that motor is obd2 or obd1. if it is obd2 then get an obd2 ls ecu to run it correctly. other then that, gl on your inspection dude...

motor is 98 ls motor and the dude told my obd1 ecu was better to make it faster ...fu*kin scambag didnt sai it was single cam....anyone know of a place in jersey they'll pass me inspection if i jus pay..and no not newark most are fake...

NEED CAR TO TRANSPORT!!

why dont you just use the correct esu and pass.. and swap back the other ecu if thats the one you really wanna run??

"da" ECU is from a 92-95 VX if it really is a P07. If it's plugged in directly then you have yourself an OBD1 harness.

Here's your problem. If they're doing an OBD2 scan test, you need the factory original ECU because it has the VIN in it. If you can't get that ECU your only option is to buy a brand new ECU from the dealer and have them program your VIN into it. I don't think you're going to like how much it costs.

Now you know why the guy was selling the car.
