Automatic transmission acting odd
First off; it's my DD, so no "do a manual swap."
The car is a 98 LS automatic, has ~70k on it. Recently it has been shifting a little odd; namely on the highway it seems like the torque converter will randomly lock and unlock. It does it while traveling at a constant speed on level ground, so the load is not changing.
Is this typical behavior for an automatic honda? Is there a separate computer for the transmission that might be on the fritz?
TIA

Honda has been known for having issues with their automatic transmissions. Not to the point of Dodge however.
The absolute first thing to do when you are having transmission troubles is change the fluid. People rarely ever change the fluid, and many problems can be avioded by doing this.
