96 accord overheats only on incline
My 96 I4 (vtec) accord ex has a weird overheating problem. It only over heats when parked on an incline of more than 30 degrees and only sometimes (not all the time). I recently flushed the whole cooling system with prestone flush and then twice with water and filled with prestone antifreeze exactly a week ago. I also changed the thermostat( which in my case my car didnt have any thermostat when I took off the housing! So I put one on the right way) I also changed the lower radiator hose, the radiator cap, and even the coolant return tank. Now the car drove fine for exactly 7 days with no overheating (even after pushing it hard over the last few days). Now after driving for 30 minutes on highway then in some traffic, I parked my car on an incline and temp guage started to go up slowly past the halfway and up. I turned it off and went to class for a half hour the came back to drive it again and no over heating, tmeps were fine. Also the coolant in the return tank is only half way filled, would that be an issue even though the hose that goes into the cooalnt never is exposed to air (as in the coolant would be sideways because of the incline)
What can this be? ..... also for this gen accord does the radiator cool the tranny fluid too?

If you are sure the fan is doing its job then I would guess that you still have air in your cooling system, it can be a bear to get out sometimes. Keep the overflow bottle to the full mark when it is cold and keep the radiator topped off when it is cold.
