The beeping noise come on when the key is in the ignition and the drive door is open.

is there a wire i could unplug to to get rid of the beeping.

 

yep the wires are green (on my eg9 anyways) and they're attached to the little black buttons that are in your door jam to get to the wire you'll have to undo a few things.

but then chances are you'll lock your keys in the car.

 

What year car do you have? My 94 did that, and after disconnecting the wires for the seatbelt underneath my seat, it quit. It was just a connector that snaps together. At least try that first.
