Default 2005 automatic RSX whine

Hello everyone at Honda-Tech. I'm posting this on behalf of my sister, she has a 2005 RSX automatic and she says it makes a whining sound upon acceleration at lower speeds -- I'm thinking sub 25 mph?. She totally babies her car (I'm probably the only person who has taken it past 5k RPMs) so I doubt it's anything abuse-related. Anyway, I'm pretty newbish when it comes to Hondas... I have an '08 WRX and I have a fairly decent car vocabulary so there's no need to describe things as if you're describing it to your mom... Thanks in advance.

Oh I forgot to mention, she says it's running perfectly fine, she's just a little concerned.

EDIT: I've also searched clubrsx and found another guy mention something about his transmission whining. I kind of assumed it was transmission related anyway but I couldn't find anything that satisfied my question on that website.

Can you tell it's from the tranny? Or could it be coming from a wheel? Like a wheel bearing going bad. How many miles on it? Shouldn't it still have a warranty?

Well she bought it in October of 2004 and it has over 70k (?) miles. I don't know about the warranty. I'm sorry I don't have very detailed information. She lives in Sacramento and I live in Redding so I can't really look at it myself and all the info that I get is pretty vague. I'll try to get more details.

I'm always shocked by how friendly people on other boards are. NASIOC would have told me to kill my sister and then myself.

EDIT: She says it's coming from under the hood and it sounds like a toy R/C car.

I was going to say something about the JRSC! haha. I would guess PS pump too. Low on fluid. Tell her to take it to the dealer to get the fluids checked? Or maybe even to a local auto parts store to see if they can check them for her. Best bet would be NAPA. Not Autozone or Schmucks.

And as for kindness. Honda-tech is the best forum ever.
