"Top Fuel" style bars now becoming available ek ang eg
I am making the first ek hatch "top fuel" style bar tomorrow, mine will be different in many ways.
first, mine will be fully tig welded together, not screw together like the other companies, in turn makes them a hell of a lot stronger, and not just a visual item, something that will actually make your car more rigid..
secondly, mine will be made of steel, not aluminum...
after tomorrow when the first one get tacked together i will be making a jig on wed, and from there send the frist to a guy in flordia... when i get good feedback that everything went in nice and easy, i will be offering these to everyone on here..
if interested in an eg bar i will have the jig made for that also in less than two weeks, and will also be sending that one out to see if it works out as well as planned...
if interested in the ek bar, i will start taking orders as soon as next week im hoping...
now for pricing..
I will also give the customer an option of getting chromoly tubing versus normal steel, for an additional cost, seeing that chromoly is twice the price of normal dom steel..
the first picture is going to be what the top fuel bars looked like, when they were available....
the pictures from there on are my mounts that i will be using on my bars...
just got the first 4 today, they are cnc'd and dilled 1/16th larger than the 7/16 bolts for your seatbelt bolts, just incase someones cars is a little tweaked out there.... just to give it a little play seeing that they will not be adjustable.
also entertaining the idea of making an optional harness bar with these, lets get some feedback on that...
pics are posted of the first one!
thanks and hope to be doing business with you soon.

I hope that either you or someone I know be able to bore out the center of the rear base mount - so the "Y" bracket (circled in blue) can fit inside the base mount. let me know & I could ship the bracket so you can make sure it fits. fyi I am willing to trim a little length off the length of my X brace (& re-weld the ends back on) to make this work
edit - I have a sparco harness bar I will try to mount as well

I'm very interested. I'm running this harness bar https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1592059..., and I need to know if these can be made to fit with any harness bar. That would be some good info for everyone.
