You got to be shittin me. No way a Del Sol that weigh 2600 lbs and only 160hp and 111tq will do the 1/4 in 15.1

Delsols don't weigh 2600lbs, none do. 94's are the lightest of the VTECs weighing in ~2450lbs in full trim, curb weight. The 99-00 Si's weigh more and people seem to think they're God's gift to mankind, wrong.

And Motortrend did a 15.1 with a 94 Delsol VTEC.

my stock civic cx with d16y8 and shitty cx tranny ran 16.24@83.. so a B16A del sol should run at least 15.5-15.6

I have the August 94 Motor Trend with the Bang for the Buck shootout and the Del Sol VTEC weighed in at 2491 lbs, ran a 7.4 0-60, 15.8 1/4 at 89.mph. I wouldn't put too much faith in those times though because everyones times will vary based on track conditions and driver. Motor Trend also says my old 92 GSR ran a 16.1 1/4 brand new and mine w/150k miles and a AEM intake ran a 14.9 at 93mph

i took my 94 sol vtec to the track with a bolt on muffler and removed resonator on the intake. ran 15.6 in the qtr. that was with 16" rims and 40 series tires.

modified, it's much faster.

also, my car has not seen the track very often. it actually has been on a track in over 8 months. so i would not classify myself as a good track driver. that being said, a good driver can probably get the stock del sol vtec to run a faster qtr mile time.

take the TB off, just losing power there. I would expect high 15's with a decent driver and good conditions.

later

Yea, the Civic Si weighs 2612pds and the 1994 Del Sol Vtec weighs 2491pds. So the sol would spank the Si. The Si runs 15.9 stock so I'm guessing the Sol runs around a 15.6-15.7.

my b16 sol with just a home made short ram intake ran 14.7 @94.5 mph
and yes
i LOVE how people think the del sol is heavy, so many educated opinions around here.

My true love is when guys in type r's or gsr's or si's pull up next to me and rev, and then get their asses handed to them by my "pig" of a car!
:D

14.7??? With just an intake? Was it on slicks? Hmmm..... no offense but, that sounds kinda...well..anyways. Unless....you have some crazy **** done with your timing, then i would believe it, I have seen a SOHC VTEC run a 15.6 with just a intake and exhaust...crazy timning....

i have a 94 Sol, I put it on a scale and full of gas and everything ite weighed 2567, so in a sense of "racing" compared to a CRX and a hatch, yes they are heavy. Not to mention when you sit in them and add more weight....

The best I ever ran on street tires with the normal mods was a 15.4@88...
Now I have the LS/VTEC which is tha shiznit compared to the b16
