Runnel channel replacement
Haha, oops--should be "Run Channel Replacement"
A search for a howto on replacing the window run channels turned up nothing. I was wondering if anyone has replaced the front (driver's or passenger) run channel. I've done regulators in these cars, so getting the glass out isn't a problem--I'm just not sure how much of the door has to come apart. For example, on the outside of the door, there is a metal trim piece that appears to help secure the channel--but I can't figure out how to pop that guy off.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

To add to the above, after you have the new run channel seated and have run the window up and down then back up, [while the door panel is still off] peel out the run channel at the lowest part front and rear and glue it, on the back side, in place with 3M trim adhesive,[ keeps the run channel from working itself upwards]
Also lay a good blob of shinitsu grease into the lower parts of the run channel so the bottom edges of he glass can keep dipping into it and lubing the lower part of the run channel.
