Default ES Motor Mount inserts are toasts - how to replace or fix?

2003 EP3, k20A3 but hondata, exaust, etc.

Put the ES Motor mount inserts in a few years ago and by now they must be toast. The car really rattles when idle, especially when running A/C. Should I just buy some new inserts to use? I thought I had read of some people "making" their own insert by creating an epoxy mold or something along those lines.
Think the motor mount where those inserts went could be bad as well? Guess I won't know until I take it apart and look...

The ESMMs do wear out, but with the rattles you are describing you may have a broken mount.

Anyway to tell other than than taking the engine up to get a good look at the mounts?

You will have to look at the mounts to find out.

Should I try removing the ES inserts first? Or just take it to a shot and take a look at everything? Sounds like that is the better option, I'll have to see if I can schedule some time in at a local shop...
Guess I need to do some other service (60k miles) anyway.
