Default ?How to: JDM ITR headlights disassemble?

I got some condensation in my headlight and just want to take apart the lens, to re-seal and buff/wax the lens. Anyone know how to go about taking the lens off, in a RELIABLE WAY?

Put them in an oven and use a heatgun as your aid to pry them apart, I suggest using plastic to pry them apart rather than metal like a screwdriver, you would rather have your tool break, then your headlight housing right?

Just a note, most ovens are too small to fit the full JDM itr headlight in there, so you need a decent sized oven.

As far as buffing to a new finish, wetsand with variable rate of sandpaper, then break out buffer and use a rubbing/polishing compound, and finish off with a decent wax. Liquid products are great for this, and there is actually tutorials on how to refinish headlights on here if you give it a search, guy with a souther accent has some good youtube videos as well I checked out to critique and he did an awesome job with some 96-98 civic oem headlights.

Just curious though, why are you taking them apart, SIR-G to ITR conversion? Just make sure to tape it off PERFECT, they are SO easy to spot when you don't do a perfect job, and to use the corect finish of flat black and not a gloss when painting the chrome portion black like the ITRs. I know someone said condensation, so if its actually leaking from the lens...and not someone who hasn't filled in their city light hole etc, I would leave them in the sun, have the water vapor evaporate, and then seal from the outside with some marine grade silicone. Make sure you are not missing any headlights/gaskets though before you take the lens off as it may not fix the issue if that is what is causing it.
